Recipe Description
This common household potato and spinach curry is a regular dish at home of people in India .
Ingredients
- Boiled potatoes – 5-6
- Spinach blanched and puree – 1 cups, chopped
- Garlic – 3-4 pods, sliced into two
- Onion – 1 large chopped
- Green Chillies chopped – 2-3
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
- Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
- Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Oil – 2-3 tbsp
- Ginger and garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Tomatoes – 1 large
- Salt – to taste
- Yogurt – 3 tbsp
Method:-
- Heat oil in a kadai and Jeera and sauté it.
- Add the sliced, green chillies chopped and onion and sauté till translucent.
- Add in the ginger garlic paste and sauté
- Now add in the tomatoes, salt and sauté well.
- Now add in the coriander powder. Turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder and sauté well
- Now add the diced potatoes and mix well.
- Now add in the yogurt and mix well
- Lastly add in the spinach puree and mix well and cook for some time.
- Remove it in a serving bowl garnish with coriander sprig.
