Honey Chilli Potatoes the yummiest recipe

Ingredient                                                      Quantity

Potatoes                                                          2 large

Red chilli sauce                                                1 tbsp

Refined flour                                                    4 tbsp

Corn flour                                                         4 tbsp

Papad                                                              3 no.

Oil                                                                    2 tbsp

Whole dry red chillies                                      4-5 no.

Ginger chopped                                              1 tsp

Garlic chopped                                                 1 tsp

Celery chopped                                                1 tsp

Onion cubes                                                     1 small

Capsicum cubes                                               1 small

Schezwan chutney                                            4 tbsp

Soya sauce                                                       1 tsp

Spring onion chopped                                      ¼ cup

Honey                                                               2 tbsp

Salt                                                                  to taste

Black Pepper powder                                       ½ tsp

Oil                                                                    for frying

 

Method:

  1. Peel, wash and Cut the potatoes into a finger size (1 inch) and keep it in a bowl.
  2. Add salt, ¼ tsp pepper, red chilli sauce and mix it nicely.
  3. Now add corn flour and refined flour and coat the potatoes nicely.
  4. Deep fry until half done.
  5. Remove it and again put it in to a same mixing bowl and coat it again with the remaining flour.
  6. Deep fry it over a high temperature until crisp and golden brown and keep it aside.
  7. For the sauce heat oil in a pan and add whole red chillies, ginger, garlic, and celery and sauté it over a low heat for 1 min.
  8. Add onion and capsicum cubes and sauté it nicely.
  9. Add schezwan sauce, soya sauce, salt, ¼ tsp of black pepper, spring onion and mix well.
  10. Switch off the flame and add honey.
  11. Add potatoes and toss the potatoes well.
  12. Add the remaining spring onions.
  13. In a plate place the Papad and place potatoes over them
  14. Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.
  15. For Papad dry roast it in a pan or heat it in a microwave oven for 1 ½ min.
