Recipe Description

  • Broken wheat (Dalia), soaked – 1 1/2 cups
  • Bean sprouts – 1 cup
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Bay leaves – 2 no
  • Cinnamon sticks – 2 no
  • Cloves – 4 no
  • Black peppercorns – 10-12 no
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Onions, finely sliced – 2 no
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • green peas – 1/2 cup
  • mint leaves – 8-10 no
  • ghee – 2 tbsp

Method:-

  1. Heat oil in a non stick kadai.
  2. Add bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, black peppercorns, cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant.
  3. Add onions and sauté till translucent.
  4. Add Dalia, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix well. Add green peas, mint leaves and mix well.
  5. Cover and allow cooking for some time.
  6. Add bean sprouts and ghee and mix well.
  7. Transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  8. Serve hot.
