Recipe Description

Pancakes made of mixed flour and onions must try

Ingredients:-

  • Rice flour – 2 cups
  • Whole wheat flour (atta) – ¼ cup
  • Spring onions, chopped –  2-3 no
  • Spring onion green stalks, chopped – 6-7 no
  • Ginger paste – ¾ teaspoon
  • Green chillies, – chopped 2 no
  • Cumin seeds – ¾ teaspoon
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil – for shallow frying

 

Method:-

  1. Mix together the rice flour and whole wheat flour in a bowl. Add enough water to make a smooth batter of pouring consistency. Leave to rest for half an hour.
  2. Add the spring onions, spring onion greens, ginger paste, green chillies, cumin seeds and salt to taste and mix well.
  3. Heat a non stick tawa and lightly grease it. When moderately hot, wipe it clean with a cloth.
  4. Pour one ladleful of batter on the tawa and spread it with the back of the ladle as thinly as possible into a round.
  5. Cook for a while and flip it over. Drizzle one teaspoon oil around and cook on both sides till golden brown.
  6. Serve hot with chutney or tomato ketchup.
