Recipe Description

Leftover rajma masala put to good use rolled in bread and made into patties.

 Ingredients:-
  • Left over rajma – 1 cup
  • Brown bread slices – 8
  • Onions, finely chopped – 2 medium
  • Green chillies, finely chopped – 2
  • Ginger, finely chopped – 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – To taste
  • Oil – For shallow frying
  • Red capsicum, thin strips – For serving
  • Yellow capsicum, thin strips – For serving
  • Green capsicum, thin strips – For serving
  • Onion slices – For garnish
  • Ginger thin strips – For serving

 

Method:-

  1. Put rajma masala in a bowl, add onions, green chillies, ginger, red chilli powder and salt and mix well.
  2. Soak bread slices in sufficient water, squeeze out excess water and discard the edges
  3. Put slices on a worktop. Place a portion of rajma mixture on one side of each bread slice and roll tightly.
  4. Heat 4-5 tbsps oil in a non-stick pan, add the patties and shallow-fry till brown and crisp on all the sides.
  5. Place red, green, yellow, ginger strips and onion slices on one side of the plate, halve one of the patties and place with other patties on the other side and serve hot.
