Recipe Description
Soya nuggets cooked with green chutney, yogurt and other spices.
Ingredients:-
- Soya nuggets, soaked and drained – 1 ½ cups
- Green chutney – 1 cup
- Oil – 1 tablespoon
- Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
- Green chilies – 3-4
- Curry leaves – 10-12
- Onions, sliced – 2 medium
- Tomato quartered – 2 medium
- Coriander powder – 1 ½ tablespoons
- Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
- Ginger finely chopped – 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, finely chopped – 1 tablespoon
- Cumin powder – 1 teaspooon
- Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
- Dried mango powder – 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder – 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper powder – 1 teaspoon
- Thick yogurt – 1 cup
- Salt – To taste
- Birds eye chilies – For garnish
Method:-
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and green chilies and saute for half a minute. Add curry leaves and onions and saute till translucent.
- Add tomatoes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger, garlic, cumin powder, red chilli powder, dried mango powder, garam masala powder and black pepper powder and mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add green chutney, yogurt and salt and mix well. Add soya nuggets and mix well and cook till soya nuggets are done.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with bird’s eye chilies and serve immediately.
