Recipe Description
A mouth watering snack made from green bengal gram.
Ingredients:-
- Dried green bengal gram, soaked overnight – 1½ cups
- Onions, chopped – 2 medium
- Tomatoes, chopped – 2 medium
- Green chillies, chopped – 2-3 no
- Chopped fresh coriander – 2 tablespoons
- Black salt – to taste
- Roasted cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
- Chaat masala – 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder – ½ teaspoon
- Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons
Method:-
- Pressure-cook the soaked gram in three cups of water till the pressure is released two or three times (two or three whistles), or till tender.
- Transfer the gram to a kadai and simmer till all the water evaporates.
- Place the hot gram in a bowl. Add the onions, tomatoes, green chillies, coriander leaves, black salt, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, chilli powder and lemon juice and mix well.
- Serve immediately.
